South Australia’s First Nations Voice to Parliament Inaugural Address

A powerful Inaugural Address to a joint sitting of the SA Parliament by one of the Presiding Members of the SA First Nations Voice to Parliament, Leeroy Bilney. The significant address took place in the Legislative Council chamber at 11am on Wednesday, 27 November. Leeroy explains very well what the Voice is, has done and will do. He also speaks to detractors. A 40 min address (don’t worry about the sound-blocker in the first 12 secs).

A very clear example of a “Voice to Parliament” in action – helping to counter some of the myths that have been promoted about such a vehicle as part of informing our democratic processes in South Australia.
