Call It Out

There is currently a national parliamentary inquiry underway into racism, violence, and hatred towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

🟠 Submissions close: 1 May
🟠 Support requests close: 24 April

This is an important opportunity for truth-telling — and for ensuring that the lived experiences of First Nations communities are formally heard and documented.

The ‘Call It Out’ initiative is supporting community members to make submissions, including helping people document their experiences over the phone, online, or in person (where possible).

If you or your networks may want support to contribute, we strongly encourage you to connect with them.

You can access resources, a community guide, and register for support from ‘Call It Out’ here:

No one should have to experience racism, violence or hatred. Ever. Yet for many, this remains a daily reality — and one that is intensifying across the country.

ANTAR encourages supporters and partners to share news widely of the inquiry and the Call It Out support initiative. The more voices we hear, the stronger our chances of disrupting and ultimately breaking the scourge of racism in Australia.
